Client Spotlight: ARK Institute of Learning

Recently we had the honor to support ARK Institute of Learning. Their mission is clear: they are committed to supporting determined learners in their desire to overcome learning challenges. Therapies and plans are based on individual assessments, and instructors work with the students, parents, and teachers to ensure consistency – building a strong learning foundation.

Their annual fundraising event had become a heavy lift for their staff, board members, and volunteers. The goal? To raise more needed funds with less effort, and to shift from a transactional online and in person silent auction, to a mission-based event engaging donors at a deeper level.

We worked with ARK to create a program which mirrored the support learners have when they visit the institute – we brought in three instructors who were stationed at different places during the cocktail hour and asked them to share the tools and methods they use to support learners.

Then, we shortened the overall program and found a speaker who posed the ask for raise the paddle in such an engaging way that even the long-term donors and supporters in the room were moved emotionally.

The result? A 33% increase in donations, and just as important, a staff and board who were energized and excited going into their event, and donors who connected on a deeper level with the organization. We were so grateful to be a part of this event!
